Every spring since 2006, the greater Ripon community comes together through this drive to support graduating Ripon High School seniors as they pursue their post-secondary education goals.
Money raised during the annual drive enables REF to fund several of its own awards and continue other annually funded awards that are managed by the Foundation.
Thanks to recent growth, we have been able to change some of our core awards to better serve today’s graduates:
- Increased our four Merit awards to be worth $2,000 each
- Added a renewable $2,000 scholarship for someone studying to become a teacher
- Added a renewable $1,000 scholarship for an individual nominated by faculty in recognition of the student’s initiative in overcoming personal obstacles or adversity.
Additionally, former students, parents and other donors have come together to create memorial scholarships to honor beloved teachers and administrators as well as recognize cherished retired teachers. In 2025, in partnership with these individuals’ family members and our community, we began to grow three of our newest funds to endowed status to ensure the funds will continue to serve graduating students for years to come.
- The Richard J. Ketter Memorial Scholarship
- The Gib Stoeberl Education Scholarship
- The Sandy Polcyn Scholarship
During the 2025 Drive, the Foundation raised more than $40,000 for scholarships. Our Board is continually grateful for ongoing as well as new donors to our fundraising efforts.
